The main problem with Newton’s gravity is because the basis of it is that mass is attracted to and attracts other masses. Then if this is so why is not all mass in one great mass surrounded by empty space? There have been billions of years for it to have happened by now.

Consider a skyscraper, earth’s gravitational forces work as normally even after passing through floor after floor of metal and concrete etc. with no attenuation of power. Beyond the top floor, even though there is no mass to attract, The force continues unabated.

You may remember the astronauts on the moon demonstrating that a heavy weight and a feather hit the ground at the same time when dropped in a vacuum. What occurs is that each mass pulls in all directions in exact accordance with its own weight and so cancels out any motion of it’s own. The moon’s gravity pulls on space and the two objects travel in the same space at the same speed. Demonstrations showing how tenuous the material of the universe is include water and laser light.  Two intense lasers faced towards each other passed light though each other without altering the power at all ! The light was unaffected in another case where water is confined in a tank. A wave of water is created and sent to one end a second wave is sent afterward and when the first wave rebounds from the end of the tank both waves pass through each other without loss of speed or form!  As if the other is not there.

These two examples help to remind us just how empty even material is and by this, that space at almost 100%of everything is the most important and influential of all the elements of nature. The only difference is that only 1 millionth of .1% or so is spinning at enormous revolutions thereby pulling space and exerting the pull of gravity forever. Of course gravity then enables all of the complexity we see today. The pull of gravity is pulling a stream of space which travels through and beyond all obstructions to infinity. Thus every atom is pushed and kept In position inside what by now must be a historic stream of space. This same process must be what keeps galaxies from flying apart on their outside edges. An incessant stream of space from outside and beyond the galaxy heading towards the centre of the galaxy. Since space is the only thing that exists anywhere, it must be most important and of course all materialisation is created by space in a spin . Spin is the only way of storing and containing otherwise random motion. In addition  constantly moving space as pulled by gravity could account for ‘virtual particles’ and their momentary existence and dark energy without inventing invisible matter or  another energy source!
